Again, I spent 70 mins working with my blog instead of my homework. Gosh I'm a slacker! But what do you think? I rather like it. I think the problem I was having was I'd uploaded my images through geocities, and for whatever reason, blogger and geocities weren't getting along. Maybe because of the yahoo/google rivalry, eh? So I found a new place to upload my image, changed my fonts to match the new image, and voila! a fixed site. But while I was looking at it, I noticed my archives were gone. That's rather worrying. I'll have to look for them.

I don't know if I've blogged about this before, but my science class is full of the stupidest kids in the world. Not just normal-stupid, but special ed-stupid. And the teacher isn't much better. He called on me today, and I said the next step in the problem was to divide by ten. He said no no, that's horribly wrong! Can anyone tell me what you should do? Of course, no one raised their hands, so he said "Well, you need to multiply it by .1!" Am I the only person in the entire class, including the teacher, who's taken basic math? What is his problem? It's so frustrating to be in a class with so many people who are so astronomically below my ability level. Simple basic concepts have to be gone over time and time again, and everyday I feel like...I don't know, doing something drastic. Usually I sit in there and count the days, hours, minutes, seconds left in the school year. I hate that class, and it's so disappointing, because the content of the class is pretty interesting, but the class itself is unsatisfactory, nonfunctional, distressing, deplorable, atrocious, terrible, painful, horrid, awful, poor, bad.

Here's the mission statement I said I'd post a while back:

First off, make sure people know you're alive. Impress them. Get recognition. Make sure people know you've got a reason for being here. What is that reason? I don't know. So go discover it. Climb a mountain. Write a book. Go to Africa. Do whatever it takes to keep your inner fire blazing and nothing less. Make sure you aren't wasting your time on earth. Yes, life is pretty pointless and we all die anyway, but make it the best possible spending of your time. Make the brief flash of light that is your life as bright as you can make it, so it affects as many people as it can. Who do you want to come to your funeral? That depends on how you live your life right now. Have a focus. Have a mission. And accomplish your mission. Don't just say, "I wish ___, but I can't ___." Say, "I wish, I will, here's how." To do this, know yourself. Know what you are planning on doing and exactly what that entails, don't just guess. Let others help you, but know who's trying to bring you down. Know your enemies and your obstacles as well as your friends, but don't be afraid of letting Malfoy turn into Draco. Don't worry about people not liking your mission. You've got to live it, not them. You want to have a picnic and it rains? Don't sit at home and stew over it. Make your plans for another picnic, and check the weather and pack a poncho this time. If you aren't comfortable in a certain environment, change it. If you can't change it, leave it. Don't be afraid of throwing off things that are just bringing you down, but don't leave a drowning man to die, either. Again, live with passion. Love and laugh sincerely and whole-heartedly. Be yourself. Rock on and keep writing. It's your sig, so make it your way of life. Don't waste your time or mine. You want to do something? Do it with passion and joy at the world around you and the people in it. Be scintillatingly brilliant, don't just talk about it. And never give up, never surrender. Keep on living until the day you die. Take control. So you long for the endless immensity of the sea? Build a ship. Never stop smiling, and whistle in the dark.

Sooo, I thought it might be good to tell you about some of my friends. Really, you can tell a lot about someone based on their friends. In no partifular order:

Anna: Anna has been one of my very best friends since --what, fifth grade? and every year I know her, I just love her more. She's so smart and funny and just wonderful to be around. She's incredibly supportive, and loffly, and I love talking to her about anything and everything, especially political stuff and LotR.

Amanda T: Amanda is really sweet and funny and just awesome all around. I love being stupid with her (Hey, Amanda, did you see what Cheese was wearing today? I swear his body looks like Brad Pitt's. I could have Cheese for breakfast lunch and dinner!) and just messing around in general. She's a really good listener.

Maraia: One of my friends from ATYP and really really smart. We always talk about LotR and the kids in our class and our teacher and whatever else comes to mind. I love going to see movies with her! Only problem is, she lives like 40 min away from me and I don't have my licescence yet. Plus, she's one of the few of my friends who share my political views.

Barb: Barb is crazy, and I love her all the more for it! She's so funny! And she thinks what I think is funny is funny (yeah, let's pretend that made sense), which is a rare thing. She understands when I whine about stupid people and laughs with me at things that aren't all that funny.

Nate: Probably the friend I've known tkindgergartene was in my kindgergarten class). He's really smart and again one of the few people who share my sense of humor. Plus, he knows what it's like to be surrounded by morons. It's great fun talking with him in geometry! Special Ed, tee hee

Jillayne: One of the nicest people I know. For real, just way super sweet and kind and caring, not to mention very smart. You can always count on Jillayne to be there when you need someone.

Chris: Another guy from ATYP. So funny! I've been told by my teacher that Chris and I should have our own sitcom because our humors, while different, work with each other so well. And he's musical, which is major ++

Jacob: A nice guy. It's not all that often that you meet one of those. Just plain nice, and enjoyable to be around. Very responsible and dependable, and he'll help you if you need it.

Obviously, there are more, but as I ought to be doing homework, I'll leave that for later.

I'm listening to: Nothing. I've been tring to open up lauchcast.com, but it keeps closing on me. Stupid computers! ~me~ at 2:25 PM
