There's this guy I know. He goes to our school. He's a wonderful person, just all around great. However, I've had a sneaking suspicion that he's gay for awhile. Anyway, someone just told me that last year he was beaten up on a regular basis because some other people thought he was gay too. I just don't understand how people can be blatantly CRUEL like that, especially to people as smart and funny and nice and OMG HOT as him. Life just doesn't make sense sometimes. I can almost guarantee that he didn't do anything to provoke them except being who he was, because he's just nice like that. I don't understand homophobes. I just don't understand it. And shouldn't guys wish more guys are gay, because then there'd be less competition for girls? How does the logic of one of the people who beat him up work? "Oh look, there's thatoneguy. He's gay? AHH! He's gay! He's going to molest me! I'll go beat him up before he can touch me!" Now first, if I looked like thatoneguy did, there'd be NO way I'd WANT to do anything with those ugly people! GRR. It just makes me mad. I thought my school was a pretty nice, safe place where, yeah, people were mean to each other sometimes, but didn't resort to physical violence without provocation. I'm just sad now.
